Boat tour in Danube Delta
Considered to be the last wild territory of Europe, the Danube Delta is a paradise of nature which preserves a large variety of birds and fish species. It is a wonderful mix of culture, fishermen villages and old customs and it is one of the most popular regions to spend your vacation in Romania. Our proposal is a special way to explore this area – a boat cruise in the Danube Delta. Along the 4 days trip we’ll sail through the huge maze of water canals and lakes. We’ll visit the beautiful Letea forest and the old Sulina harbour. The boat has a capacity of maximum 10 people, with 360 degrees view, onboard toilet, space for luggage, etc The boat ensures a safe and comfortable cruise in Danube Delta. Accommodation will be made in 3 stars guest houses located in Mila 23 village. Optional you can choose for different standards and hotels. Obviously tasting the local cuisine is part of the delicious experience.

Day 1. Bucharest arrival – transfer to Tulcea
Arrival at Bucharest Airport. Meet our driver and transfer to Tulcea ( approx 4 hrs driving time).
Overnight in Tulcea at Esplanada Hotel****.
Day 2. Tulcea – Boat tour in Danube Delta
Breakfast. At 9.00 AM boarding on our boat, catamaran type, max capacity 10 people, toilette on board. We are starting to sail on the Danube Delta water canals and lakes, admiring the beauty of nature and wildlife. Danube Delta is one of the best places in the World for birdwatching programs.
Today we will sail through Baclanesti lake, Fortuna Lake, Olguta canal.
Check-in at your guest house in Mila 23 village. Authentic local lunch (lipovenesc) based on fish. On request other menu is possible.
In the afternoon we’ll be back on the boat and we’ll relax on a boat trip to Ligheanca lake.
Return in the evening at Mila 23 village.

Overnight in a 3 stars guesthouse in Mila 23 village.
Day 3. Danube Delta cruise
Breakfast. We’ll continue our cruise in Danube Delta visiting other amazing places such us: Lopatna canal, Miazazi lake, Matita lake, Merhei lake, Sidor canal. Stop to visit Letea forest, with its fairy tail landscapes. It is the northest subtropical forest from Europe. Here can be seen more than 500 species of plants and a couple thousand species of animals and insects.
Picnic lunch.
In the afternoon we’ll continue our boat trip in Danube Delta sailing along Madgearu canal, Old Danube canal, Bogdaproste lake, 3 Iezere lake, Eracle canal and we’ll end the day back to Mila 23.

Day 4. Mila 23 – boat trip in Danube Delta
Breakfast. Another enjoyable day and new things to visit. Our target today will be the old town Sulina, a very important port and trade center since 19th century. We’ll visit the Old lighthouse built in 1869, today an interesting museum. Other highlights are the Palace of the European Committee for Danube, dating since mid 19th century, the local graveyard, Sulina beach, etc.
Picnic lunch. Return to Mila 23. Dinner and overnight in the same guesthouse.
Day 5. Mila 23 – Tulcea - Bucharest
Breakfast. Check-out. It is the last day on the water from our Danube Delta cruise. We are heading back to Tulcea, the access gate in the Danube Delta from where we have started our trip on the water.
At Tulcea we’ll say farewell to our boat captain and to the Danube Delta and you’ll start a drive back to Bucharest.
Check-in the hotel. Time at your leisure.
Overnight in a central located 4 stars hotel.
Day 6. Bucharest - departure
Breakfast. Time at your leisure.
Transfer to the airport according with your flight time.

To secure your booking a deposit of 100 euro/person is required.
The final payment has to be made with minimum 15 days prior the tour start.
The payments can be made online by credit card or by banking transfer
In certain circumstances can be made cash or card on arrivalCancellations
Special conditions. If an emergency situation occurs (pandemic, disasters, revolution, war, etc) and the Romanian authorities or the authorities from the traveler’s country impose restrictions to travel, to enter or leave the country, the cancellation can be made anytime without any penalty.Standard conditions. If none of the above mentioned situations occur the cancellation policy is:
No penalty apply if the cancellation is made with minimum 15 days prior the tour. Any deposit paid will be refunded in maximum 10 days.
50 % penalty fee apply if the cancellation is made with 5-14 days prior the our departure.
100% penalty fee apply if the cancellation is made with less than 5 days prior the tour start or in case of NO SHOW.
